THY CONFIDENCE--
WHAT IS THIS BLOG?

This blog is based on the following Bible text from the King James Bible:

Proverbs 3:26 For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

The whole world is spiraling down into the abyss of the End Times described in Bible prophecy.

Why a "dead end," you ask?

It is not a dead end for God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is not a dead end for the faithful believer in Jesus Christ who keeps his mind in the Word of God.

It is a dead end for man. Soon, the whole world will be cast into total crisis. There will be a war of wills. It is NOW in progress. The Laodiceans (common people in power), and the elite far above (the Nicolaetans who seek to rule the Laodiceans), are at each other's throats.

This war is a war mainly of wills, not bullets, though blood is not infrequently shed in this war.

The point is, in the prophecy in the book of The Revelation of John, the last book in the Bible, we learn in chapters One through Three that the two forces of humanity in the end of this age will be exactly what I described to you above.

No one in their right mind could deny that this war of wills is now raging just exactly as Christ gave it to the Apostle John in a vision on the Isle of Patmos 2000 years ago.

Now, what does that have to do with this blog?

Answer:
Everything. Peace of mind is so rare today that most people simply find ways to sublimate their fear and trembling with "helpers" like surfing the Web, snorting crack, sucking weed, or simply burying themselves in self-will and lust for sex, food, or work and materialism.

There is another option to the people of God. That is what I want to bring to you in this blog.

We will cover many topics that lead the mind AWAY FROM terror, intrigue, and pessimism. There are plenty of sites online that will give you that diet of the mind. Here, we will center on the Word of God and its application in everyday life.

So, if the site seems a bit disjointed at times, it is because I simply want to distract you from the war of the wicked. Rather than be ONE OF THEM, my desire is to see you in quiet confidence, "THY CONFIDENCE," which King Solomon spoke of in our theme verse.

This mind set is not monastic and the private property of some recluse or hermit in the desert. It is a confidence you can take to school, to work, and to pass around at a party or church fellowship.

If you cannot take "the peace that passeth understanding" downtown with you, what good is that peace anyway.

I know Someone who, while hanging on an old rugged cross in the horrors of pain and torment, was in complete control, and he was at peace with man and God. He even asked God to forgive his enemies just as he died.

Now, THAT is peace my friend. I cannot tell you how to escape being touched by this coming civil war of the top and the bottom against one another, but I know that Christ can give you peace as you struggle to survive.

Christ has been there and done that himself.

I hope it helps that you stop by here from time to time.

In Christ Jesus
